I chose the webquest that was made by
Sandra Costa. The Webquest is about Pets. In this lesson students will find
about different pet animals that they may find in a Pet Store. They need to
know all about the different Pets. This webquest includes 13 different parts
like welcome, introduction, task process, evaluation, conclusion, teacher page,
about author, evaluate webquest, review, statistics, export wenquest and share
this webquest. This webquest appropriate for the grade level 3-5. There are
some pictures about pets and this is making visual connections that contribute
to the understanding of concepts, ideas and relationships. There is a
differences between type sizes. Every parts mention about different thing.
Welcome describe about what the student will do in this lesson. And there are
some keywords about learning Pets like Pets, animals, dogs, cats, turtles, frogs, Dogs, Canaries, Cockatiels, Horses,
Ponies, Budgerigars, Fish, Mice, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs. Introduction part asks some questions about Pets
like “Have you ever been inside a Pet Store? Do you know all the kinds
of animals that you can find in a Pet Store? Do you know how to take care of
the different animals? What they eat?”. Task part explain their task like
During this webquest you will perform a number of tasks that will help you to
acquire the necessary vocabulary to write about your favorite pet. In the
process parts, it is explained that students duty for this lesson like visit
the websites about pets, create a wiki page.. Other part is evaluation part,
there is a evaluation rubric about research
information (all animals and animal page) information, collaboration between
team members and goals of project accomplishment, followed instructions and
completed tasks correctly and grammar, format, and spelling. Conclusion part
concludes all tasks and lesson. In teacher page part, teacher explains why this
webquest was created. I think this webquest is good for the learner. They can
learn some new vocabularies, they can create their wikis also they can deal
with the pets.
